Popular Purple

Thursday, December 17, 2009
I've had several brides in the store recently, checking out our purple coloured confectionery, lilac coloured flower girl baskets and ring pillows, lavender coloured bomboniere and so on... It seems purple (and anything related) is currently a very popular colour for weddings!
For those of you who LOVE purple, here are some pics to inspire...

Unique Wedding Cake Toppers

Wednesday, September 16, 2009

A couple of days ago I mentioned the work of Angela from Cowboys and Cupcakes. I thought I'd continue the theme by featuring these delightful little bride and groom wooden, hand-painted wedding cake toppers. Angela is supplying us with these little gems exclusively, so we're proud to say we're the only store in Australia with these particular creations! If you like the look of our in-store samples you can take a pair home, but the real fun in these is that you can order your cake toppers to reflect elements of your bridal gown, your groom's outfit, and your hair colour. These personalised products make wonderful keepsakes and are truly unique!

Expo Recovery

Monday, September 14, 2009

Well, we survived our first bridal expo! I've just spent the weekend at Brisbane's Ideal Bride and Formal Expo with the much valued help of my parents and husband! I'm exhausted but thrilled to have been involved. It was wonderful to meet so many brides and other wedding providers. These pictures show a small part of our display, including a new product for Very Special Celebrations - a fun wedding plate created by Angela of Cowboys and Cupcakes. These cute plates can be personalised with names and caricatures of the bride and groom, as an interesting wedding keepsake.

We have so many other new products in-store that I'm really excited about... more news to come!

Wedding Candles

Saturday, August 15, 2009
So many of our customers have been expressing their delight at the large, elegant wedding candles we have in-store. I need to take more photographs (and better quality photographs!) of our various designs, but here is one pic just to give you the idea. These tall, square-shaped candles are perfect for decorating a church alter for your wedding ceremony, or even just to display at home! They can also act as a modern alternative to traditional Orthodox wedding candles, if you're after a more simple, elegant style. We also sell and hire stands to hold them. And if you don't like any of our decorating ideas for the candles, you can add your own touches, or simply use an undecorated candle for a truly minimal look!
